Business Planning and Project Management at Healthful, Equitable and Vibrant Community Enterprise Services
Neighborhood: Montlake

I am returning to work on my core beliefs from a 40 year career in new ventures & startups. In 1978 I was a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador where devastating deforestation and wealth imbalance there were a microcosm of an unabated global trend. I believe the prerequisite for sustainable ecosystems is healthful, vibrant and equitable community enterprise for people from all walks of life. I became a member of Social Venture Partners 5 years ago and have worked on grant committees and as lead partner for Community in Schools - Washington. I was part of the 2nd cohort of SVP Conservation Philanthropy Fellows and I serve as the Co-Chair of the Environment Collective Action Team. I recently completed a project with the Seattle Parks Foundation that resulted in new placemaking outreach programs for disadvantaged and underserved neighborhoods. In 2014 I transitioned from Constellation Software, Inc which acquired Ownership Guide by BuildSERV in 2008 and he stayed on as Vice President of BuildSERV and led strategic ERP account management. I received a B.A. degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio majoring in Economics and Biology. Whenever possible I am outdoors to bike, hike, ski and paddle to explore and experience of the amazing living system and resources that make our planet. I live with my lifelong partner Susan and our 3 children are now living outside our home.
